The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is elected by the membership for 2-year terms in the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. All other Executive Committee positions are appointed by the incoming President.  Below you’ll find the Chaplains who serve on the current committee.   • Rebekah Ramsey comes into her role on the NCCA Executive Committee with a wealth of training and experience. She has worked as a Chaplain in clinical settings for over twelve years.  
  • Her training includes a Master of Divinity from Hood Theological Seminary, Board Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains, and Certification as an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education Certified Educator.  
  • Rebekah is passionate about education and providing competent and compassionate care to patients, their loved ones, and team members within healthcare settings.  
  • She loves music, martial arts, community service, music, and work toward and for social justice.  
  • Rebekah is happily married to Robbie Ramsey; a Physician Assistant with the VA in Salisbury, NC.  They enjoy trips to the beach, playful sparring using their martial arts’ backgrounds, playing with their pups, and thoroughly enjoying their son, Alexander “Xander,” born in 2018!

  • As the treasurer, I work closely with the Educational Chair and Administrative Coordinator preparing for the educational events. I will aid members of the NCCA as the registrar at the educational events with room reservations, meal restrictions, and keeper/reporter of the financial records
  • Finally, I love it when members register for the education events as early, and correctly, as possible using the NCCA website.

  • After serving 25+ years in Christian Education in the United Methodist Church, she felt called to serving in clinical chaplaincy.  
  • She holds a B.A. in Religion and a Minor in Non-Profits from High Point University, and a Masters of Divinity from Carolina Graduate Theological Seminary.  
  • Colleen completed her CPE education at UNC Chapel Hill and Moses Cone-Alamance Regional Medical Center.  
  • She has served at Randolph Community Hospital, High Point Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Davidson County prior to joining Novant Health.
  • Colleen and her husband, Gerome, have 6 adult children, and enjoy their time together fishing, completing home projects and spending time with their 3 grandchildren.
  • They also enjoy serving together in various ministries at The Summit Church, a non-denominational congregation, where they assisted in launching a new location that meets in Jamestown in 2016.   Colleen continues to serve as a part of the Lifecare Counseling Ministry within the church, and offers her time as a part of her commitment to the church who holds her ordination endorsement.

  • Sarah is a Board Certified Hospice Chaplain working in Pinehurst.
  • Sarah graduated from both UNC Chapel Hill and Duke Divinity School, but her allegiance lies with the Tar Heels!
  • Sarah is from Hudson, NC and is a farm girl at heart.
  • She enjoys spending time in the mountains, crocheting, and tending her chickens.
  • She is endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church and is a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Apex.
  • Sarah recently got married to Dr. Justin Gianni, a Chiropractor in Cary.
