About Us ~

NCCA, the North Carolina Chaplains’ Association was formed in 1964 as an organization of, and for, persons affiliated with chaplaincy.  Our purpose is to provide education, fellowship, and advocacy for professional chaplains.

We advocate for and support chaplaincy as a professional discipline.  To that end, we provide opportunities for quality continuing education and meaningful fellowship for professional chaplains of all faiths via two major events each year, usually held in the fall and spring.  Every effort is made to ensure that topics and speakers are on the forefront of our field and that feedback from the membership is considered.

Full membership in the NCCA is available to chaplains offering spiritual care in healthcare-related facilities, first responder entities, schools, and universities, correctional institutions, military, and community programs.

Organizational leadership is provided by an elected Executive Committee (President, Vice President, Past President, Secretary/ Historian, and Treasurer) and appointed Committee Co-Chairs (Advocacy, Communications, Education, Journal Club, and Recruitment).  The Executive Committee meets four times per year, both in person and via conference call, to conduct the business of the Association.  Full Membership meetings are  held annually.

NCCA has a website and a Facebook page (Facebook.com North Carolina Chaplains’ Association) for communication with the membership.  Updates and meeting registrations are announced on these social media platforms.

NCCA employs one part-time employee, and Administrative Coordinator, who may be reached at (252) 508-9860 or via admincoordinator@ncchaplains.com.
