Spring Conference 2013 Materials and Information

 

April 17-19, 2013, the North Carolina Chaplains Association had our Annual Spring Conference. It took place at the Trinity Center (part of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina) in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. We were at the beach!

Pre-Conference Sessions ~ 1.5 CE Credits

Option 1: Working Across Faith Lines: Caring for the Jewish Patient – Chaplain Matthew Schulman

This session will consider Jewish Practices and Patient Care.

Option 2: The Role of Chaplain in End of Life Care – Rev. Barry Morris

This session will discuss the importance of the MOST (Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment) form.

Spring Conference ~ 4.5 CEU Credits

Awakening to Our Dreams – Rev. Phil Myers

A conversation of dream interpretation and spirituality.

Phil Myers has served as the pastor of First Reformed United Church of Christ in Burlington, NC for the past 18 years. He received a BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University and an M.Div. from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Phil attended Haden Institute’s Annual Dream Conference in 2007 and completed Haden’s spiritual direction program in 2011.
